  •  Place the sunflower seeds in a medium bowl and cover them with water. Keep the seeds in water for almost 15-20 minutes to remove the salt totally. If you want some salt, you can shorten the time.

  • Pour the sunflower seeds and water through the colander. Wash the sunflower seeds with pure water. Let them drain in the colander for 15 minutes. Place them on a paper towel and cover with paper towel again to let them dry.

  • Place the sunflower seeds (they may not be completely dry, that's ok) on a baking sheet that is covered with parchment paper. Spread them as a single layer without overlapping and bake in the preheated oven at 400°F (205°C) for 15 minutes or until they are crunchy. Check the oven in the middle of this process and stir them with a spoon so they won’t burn.
