Cut the top of washed and dried strawberries.
Divide the medium strawberries in half. If they are large strawberries cut them into three. If you use small strawberries, keep them as whole. Place them in a medium bowl.

Add the vanilla extract, almond extract (optional) and stir with a spoon/spatula. Mix in
the flour and sugar.

Slightly press the mixture so they stick to the strawberries.
As almond slices (optional) are very fragile, add them to the crumble mixture later by simply spreading them evenly.
Bake for almost 45 minutes or until the strawberries are bubbling from the sides and the crumbles are golden brown.
