Cut the strawberries. If they are too juicy, let them dry on a paper towel.
Mix the flour and sugar, add the cubed butter and cut the butter into flour.
Spread 2/3 of the dough into an oven proof dish.
Toss the strawberries with cornstarch and sugar.
Place the strawberries over the crust and add the remaining dough on top.
Bake until golden brown.
