INGREDIENTS YOU'LL NEED

Stir the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt (optional) in a medium mixing bowl with a whisk.

Place the eggs and sugar in a large bowl and stir with a whisk until just combined.

Mix in the melted butter, buttermilk and vanilla extract.

Add the flour and stir until just combined.

Stir chocolate chips with a little flour to avoid them sinking to the bottom of the cake once baked.

Add the chocolate chips into the batter and fold with a spatula.

Pour the batter into a loaf pan and add extra chocolate chips evenly on top.  Bake until toothpick comes out clean that is inserted into the center.

Once you remove the pan from the oven, let the cake stay in the pan for 10 minutes and then let the cake cool for at least 50 minutes on a wire rack.
