INGREDIENTS YOU'LL NEED

Apples

Granulated sugar

Lemon juice

Egg

Vanilla extract

All purpose flour

Butter

Brown Sugar

Salt

Cinnamon

Nutmeg

Put the chopped apples into a small bowl and mix in the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and lemon juice. Set aside the bowl.

Gently mix with a fork until  the mixture is crumbly.

Place the flour, cinnamon and salt in a medium bowl and stir with a whisk. Set aside the bowl.

Whisk the brown sugar, granulated sugar and melted butter in a large bowl.  Add in the egg and vanilla extract.

Add the flour and stir. First you can use a whisk but then continue with a spoon/spatula to make the process easier.

Fold the apples with a spoon/spatula, pour and spread the mixture into a baking pan. Bake for almost 28-32 minutes.  The top should set and a toothpick inserted into the middle should come out clean.

Let it cool in the pan for at least 40 minutes before cutting into pieces.
