These kiwi and orange popsicles are healthy and refreshing frozen treats! They are so easy to prepare!

This summer I’m planning to share ice cream recipes.  Ice cream is my favorite and number one refreshing treat on these summer hot days.    My niece likes ice cream a lot and she also likes to spend time in the kitchen.  So, I prefer to make recipes with her.

We usually make no-churn ice cream which is super easy to make with condensed milk.  But we also want to make some healthy popsicles.

In our free time, we decide on the flavors together.   Lately, one of her choices was orange & kiwi.   She told me that after her yoga class, her mother prepares fruit salad with orange and kiwi which she enjoys very much. So she offered to use orange and kiwi in popsicles and we agreed on that flavor.

The result was very refreshing.   We used orange juice, sweetened with some honey-you may not even need to use honey if orange juice is sweet enough-and kiwi slices which looked so good as well as their taste.

The steps are extremely easy;

How to Make Healthy Popsicles

First, my niece squeezed the orange.   Then she strained it.   We tasted the orange juice, it needed some sugar.   As we want healthy popsicles, we added some honey instead of granulated sugar.   If your oranges are sweet enough, you may not need to add honey.   We kept our orange juice in a liquid measuring cup so it makes it easy to pour the juice into molds.

After orange juice was ready, I cut the kiwi into slices.   You can decide on the thickness.

My niece placed the kiwi slices into the popsicle molds.  Then she poured the orange juice and inserted the popsicle sticks.  That’s all!  We placed the molds in the freezer.  Our refreshing popsicles were ready in 5 hours.

We dipped the molds into a bowl that was full of warm water for 4-5 seconds to easily remove the popsicles.

Enjoy!
